Structure101g

Structure101g is our generic version of Structure101.

Where other editions are tied to a particular language or domain (e.g. Java, C/C++), Structure101g gets its data from a simple XML file. This means that it is possible to feed in information from any domain.

For Structure101g, we distinguish two roles: developers and end users. Developers are the guys who implement generation of the XML data for a particular domain (we call this a "flavor"). End users are the wider audience that want to use this implementation in the wild.

Structure101g is currently a technology preview, with emphasis on the developer role. The Developer's Guide explains how to create your own flavors, and also contains a number of sample implementations (including OSGi and XSL), all with full source code.

The release version will make it easy to roll out flavor implementations to end users via a web service. For now, however, flavors need to be installed manually to the local file system. The Example Flavors Pack contains the same implementations as the Developer Guide, but in "runtime" form (binaries without source).

The Developers Guide, Example Flavors Pack and Structure101g itself are all available from the Structure101g downloads page. You can also browse the Developer Guide docs online.
