Step 1: Download Structure101.Java for Unix
Installation/Platform notes:
- This application requires Java Runtime Environment version 1.5 or higher.
- The installation package for Linux is a gzipped tar archive. If you already have a previous version of Structure101 installed, please ensure that you either unpack the new archive to a different location or overwrite the previous installation and be sure to then delete the old jar file (structure101-java-b789.jar), as it will always pick up the first jar.
- Swing Issues Part I on Linux: If Structure101 misbehaves on your Linux distribution try "export AWT_TOOLKIT="MToolkit" before running Structure101.
- Swing Issues Part II on Linux: If the Structure101 IDE Plugin misbehaves on your Linux distribution try "eclipse -vm $JAVA_HOME/bin/java -ws gtk" where JAVA_HOME points to a 1.5 JVM.
- Solaris: We don't test on Solaris but we have plenty of happy Solaris users, with no known Solaris-specific issues.
